Former President Gerald R. Ford lies in repose at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Palm Desert, Calif., Dec. 29, 2006, as the Guard of Honor stands watch. DoD personnel are helping to honor Ford, the 38th president of the United States, who passed away on Dec. 26th. Following services in California, Ford's remains will be flown to Washington, D.C., for a state funeral in the Capitol Rotunda and a funeral service at the Washington National Cathedral, followed by burial services in Michigan.
