Acclaim Stock Photography: a wide selection of stock photography by various photographers covering many topics. Some great stuff here! There's also a feeling that the photographers are involved. You can directly contact the artists and no registration is required to get prices or use the lightbox...reason enough to love this site!
PicturesOf.Net: free pictures and stock photos by Fred Voetsch, Oregon photographer. The subject matter includes local attractions like Crater Lake, waterfalls and other natural scenic attractions of the Pacific Northwest as well as many typical stock photography subjects such as people, lifestyles and business.
Photo.net:Great photos but the site needs work. Easily some of the best photography I've ever seen is on this site. The question I have is: can you actually purchase these photos?
Dan Heller Stock Photography and Art Prints:This is not the easiest place to buy stock photos or the cheapest but Mr Heller knows his craft and offers a large selection of outstanding stock photography and some excellent info on the stock photography industry.
Index Stock: Very typical big agency look, which means I was afraid to use the site but once I dove in I was pleasantly surprised by the images, still, the site is a bit overly complicated.

Dennis Kunkel:What's not to love? Oustanding scientific stock photography including those super-cool electron microscopes! The site is a bit different but I had no trouble finding awesome images...go here!
Custom Medical Stock Photos:this is the place to go if you need any medical photography. A very complete selection.
Princeton Stock Photo: Ignoring the first couple of pages, there are some good photographs here but you cannot purchase the photographs online.
Unicorn Photos: over 50,000 photographs here with major topics such as travel, geography, science and nature, people, food....
Comstock: Comstock offers a huge assortment of high quality stock photos covering almost any topic. This is my favorite big agency site though the site is still a bit overwhelming and cludgy.
Super Stock: I had a hard time finding usable pictures here but the quality of the images is generally excellent. Both royalty-free and rights-protected stock photography are available but this site has really gotten complex and hard-to-use recently.Pricing an image was a nightmare and the use of frames is tough to take on a smaller laptop display.
ImageEnvision: Specializing in historical images and includes the Dorothea Lange collection, USDA, the American Presidents, American history, NASA, NOAA, geography, military, Christopher Columbus, Uncle Sam, Rosies, women's suffrage, Malcolm X, and general stock photography.
The Stock Photo Network: A not-very-well-done site that tries to be smaller than the big guys but isn't really better. I didn't really get why I was seeing so many words and no photos on a stock photo site.
Getty Images: What to say? Getty is a nightmare to navigate but they have a huge selection of stock photography. The problem is that everyone buys images from getty, especially large companies so it's hard to stand out from the crowd. Good for some but not for others.
Stock Photographs: A very large selection of stock photographs by a variety of photographers. High quality and good prices...all topics are covered.
Corbis: One of the big stock photography agencies that many people like to avoid, for that very reason, but they do have a lot of stuff here and many classic and vintage stock images you may not find anywhere else.
